My journey didn’t begin as a business. It began as a relationship.

More than twenty years ago, I founded Empowering Equus, but long before there was a name for it, there was simply my connection with horses. Over decades of working alongside them as an equine therapist and clinician, they became my greatest teachers—not because I asked them to teach, but because I learned how to listen.

​

I discovered that when horses are given the freedom to be fully themselves, something remarkable happens. They don’t try to fix us or instruct us. Instead, they create a space where our nervous systems settle, our hearts open, and our deeper awareness comes back online. In their presence, people remember who they are. I’ve witnessed profound healing and transformation simply by allowing the relationship between human and horse to unfold naturally.

Horses, to me, are not tools or techniques. They are living bridges—between the physical and the spiritual, between instinct and intuition, between who we think we are and who we truly are. Through thousands of sessions and countless quiet moments in the field, they taught me about coherence, courage, and the deep intelligence of the heart.

And now, I feel my work evolving.

Everything I learned from the horses is leading me into a new chapter—one that carries the same wisdom into a different environment. I’m being called to work with dolphins, whose presence holds a similarly powerful energetic resonance. Just as horses ground us into our bodies and the earth, dolphins invite us into flow, rhythm, and expanded awareness. Different beings, different elements—but the same language of energy, connection, and consciousness.

That’s why this space is called Horses and Waves.

It’s not a shift away from what I’ve done—it’s a continuation of it. It’s the weaving together of land and sea, stillness and movement, earth and water. It’s my way of honoring a lifetime of learning from nature, and following where that wisdom now wants to take me.

This is an invitation to walk beside me—to listen, to feel, and to rediscover what becomes possible when we partner with the living intelligence all around us.
